Calvin W Elston

Originally from Connecticut, Calvin W. Elston has a varied background centered around boat and drag racing. While starting out in NHRA Modified Production in the early 70’s, Calvin has collected many engine building, tuning and manufacturing skills starting with grinding camshafts and ultimately being instrumental in the building and tuning of Aston Martins’ 32v DOHC V8 Group C race engines. Personal efforts in drag racing and circle boats necessitated acquiring fabrication skills eventually fabricating  Trans-AM Nissans for Bob Sharp and Paul Newman. After moving to NC in 1989, it was not long until he started building headers for Cup teams. Always innovating and pushing ahead in understanding of internal combustion engines, Calvin is always learning by involvement in many different types of race engines. The results can be found attached to the fastest cars in the country.
